Three Growth Tips 🌱

1. Build-In-Public

What's more important than engagement?

Pulling people into your story.

Everyone loves to read lessons, successes, and failures. But what people love more is being a part of your story.

On Twitter, it translates into sharing your goals and what you're doing for them. You can share

- what you're launching,
- what you're building right now,
- your highs, lows, whys
- strategies and tips

Build in Public is also garnering huge responses on Twitter as many entrepreneurs have picked it up.

Jose just started his climb to $1M which he will be sharing in public

Another example by Ramon - sharing his work structure for the day

2. Stuck on what to write your thread on?

You want to write consistently. But you have nothing to write.

Well, here’s a list of thread topics to back you up on those rainy days.

  • Technology stack I use for productive days
  • Top 20 Movie Dialogues/ Book quotes/ People’s quotes
  • Top 10 Books everyone should read
  • Top 10 Bookmarks from 100+ bookmarks
  • Why I like β€” and why you should care about it? (creator economy, investing, reading)
  • Why I chose to do ___? (job, degree, join twitter, learn copywriting)
  • How to make __? (pasta, newsletter, course, website, $1 online)
  • What I’ve learned from __? (podcast, book, person, story)

3. Make your DMs super personalized

Text DMs are all rage. But what can set you apart is a video DM.

If you wanna make an impact, send a one-minute super personalized video to them.

You can start with a greeting, tell them what you like about their content and how it is affecting you.

If you wanna ask something, be specific about it or just end with a greeting.

Everyone will appreciate the effort you put in and you may end up making a strong connection.

Tip - Smile and make sure it's the natural YOU. Don't be sale-sy.

Two Tweet Writing Tips ✍️

1. Summary - TL;DR πŸ‘‡

After a writing session, leave yourself a summary to pick up from where you left.

This brings back the original chain of thought.

Doing this at the end of your threads is also considered a great practice.

Not only does it refresh the strong bits for your audience, it also helps them if they wanna skip to end.

A few examples -

2. One Tweet. Five FORMATS.

We’ve been sharing tweet formats for a while. How about we show you how to use them?

Let’s write a tweet and show how it can be shared in 5 formats.

Example - No one makes it better for you. You have to do it yourself.

  1. Format - If you can do X, you can also do…
Rewrite - If you can convince yourself that you’re worthless, you can also convince yourself that you are not.

  2. Format - The Strong v The Weak
Rewrite - Weak people blame everyone else for their failures. Strong people just fix it.

  3. Format - Overrated v Underrated
Rewrite - Validations are overrated. Self affirmations are underrated

  4. Format - How to make__ better: One line
Rewrite - How to make your life better: Take accountability to fix it.

  5. Format - Being (this) is hard. Being a (not this) is worse.
Rewrite - Fixing your life is hard. Not fixing it is worse.

Bonus Quote - Good writing is bad writing + a day of revision.
