Three Growth Tips 🌱

1. Show them the way:

Have you looked at someone's profile and thought they could help you?

But you weren't entirely sure about what they're offering?

I bet it's happened.

The critical question here is: if others look at your profile, do they see how you can help them?

Here's what you can do to make your offering crystal clear:

Craft a detailed document that lays out your method and your process for helping clients. (aka GETTING THEM RESULTS)

Suppose you've already helped someone: Pour it into a case study.

If you haven't worked with a client yet, describe how you would help a prospective one.

Then, auto-DM that document.

After that, sit back and watch as your followers grow and the opportunities roll in.

You can use Hypefury to send out Auto-DMs like a pro.

It's simple:

1. On the navigation bar on the left click on Auto-DMs

2. Click on 'Start a campaign'

3. Click on New campaign

4. Now type in your post & the DM your users will receive

5. Set the requirements for receiving a DM (like/RT/Reply)

Reply to this tweet works best. In the tweet, you should ask people to like the post as well.

Click on Add to queue and you are done!

2. Be a permissionless mentee.

Knowing someone who has already done what you want to do and learning from them can exponentially boost your results.

But what do you do when you don't know someone like that?

You become a permissionless mentee.

Pick out 3-5 creators whose vibe clicks with you.

Dive into all you can find about them, their content-making secrets & strategies.

Take a closer look:

  • At how they write
  • The videos they make
  • What topics they talk about
  • The Spaces they host/attend
  • Who they follow and engage with on 𝕏

Mix the cool bits from each of them and whip up your own content strategy.

Just to be clear: Do NOT copy.

Use what's already working and give it your spin.

You can keep spinning it till you get it right but never be an exact copy of someone.

Who will you take on as a mentor now?

3. Stop finicking:

By that I mean stop changing your profile picture, name, username, banner, and bio every day.

It's great to experiment but if you keep changing everything now and then you won't see the results of your experiment, right?

Out of all your profile elements, these 3 are the ones that you should change the least

  1. Name:

Your name is your identity, your followers know your name, and they stop to read your posts because they notice it.

  2. Profile Picture:

Your profile picture is a visual cue that helps your followers recognize your posts instantaneously.
If you keep changing it your followers will scroll past your tweets mistaking you for a stranger.

  3. Username:
Your username is your digital address.
It’s how people find you, mention you or direct others to your profile.
Changing it again and again is like changing your address every now & then.
Guess what happens when you keep changing your address? People can't find you.

Also, changing these parts of your profile makes you lose your verification, which hampers your reach.

The 𝕏 algorithm isn't a fan of frequent profile switch-ups either.

It is in the algorithm that changing your profile dials down your reach.

So next time when you change something, spend time thinking about it.

And if you just want to see how the new changes would look, just use a burner account.

Capiche?

"But what if I really want to make a change?"

Let your audience know. Not once, not twice, but repeatedly.

It's like giving your friends a heads-up before you move to a new place.

This way, they know where to find you and what to expect.

The future of Hypefury

πŸ’Œ Help us create a better newsletter

We're working on a new version of Growth Notes.

We sent out the first issue in March 2021. Today, it has over 40,000 subscribers. We want to make it even more helpful.

For this reason, we would love to hear your feedback through a super short survey:

πŸ¦… 3 new Hypefury features

The developer team has released multiple new features. Here are three you should check out ASAP.

1. You can re-use your best tweets from Analytics with a click.

2. You can schedule AutoDM campaigns in the new UI.

3. You can now crosspost when uploading a CSV file.

Two Post-Writing Tips

1. Mind the length of your posts:

Gone are the days when you could craft lengthy posts (within 280 characters) and they'd still fully appear on screen.

With the recent update, posts exceeding 10 lines now feature a "show more" button.

While the "show more" button can be effective when used intentionally, it's a different story when it appears unexpectedly in your posts.

An unexpected 'show more' will only stop your readers from reading.

Especially for threads, the other day I came across a thread and all tweets had a "show more" button.

Guess what I did? Yep, did not read it.

As a guideline, try to keep your tweets within 10 lines unless it's intentional and important.

2. Not everyone knows what you know:

Have you heard about the curse of knowledge?

When you know, you think everyone else also knows.

But that's rarely true.

When you are writing, write for someone who's at least two steps behind you Write about the stuff you did not know 6 months ago.

Think back to six months ago. If you were just getting into web3, what were the things you had to Google? Which topics had you scratching your head?

Write about those.

Remember, not everyone knows what you do. ok?

Don't get trapped thinking "this is too basic". Trust me, someone really needs to hear what you've got to say.
